The storm passed and the conservatory roof stayed on.. Its not so much a conservatory  more a 25ft long space at the back of the house which we had roofed over 30 years ago. It's only 6ft wide but we can get a lot of plants in there. Wed brought in all the  bonsai to protect them from the storm and it would have been dreadful if the panels had come loose.

Our builder friend arrived first thing and said he could secure the panels straight away as it was pouring down so he 'd a day free, which was a stroke of luck.
It took  a few hours but now it's very secure.

Fletch was confined to the house so he couldn't  bother them so he went on guard duty.. ie sat half way down the stairs so that he could get a good view out of the kitchen window.

Message from my sis in law. She was 'pinged' and the pcr has confirmed she has Covid.  So far shes only a bit off colour and feels like she has a bit of a cold but obviously  it means weve had to cancel this Sundays meet up in Clapham. We have tentatively  made a date for the 19th . I do hope we can meet up, our last get together with her and my brother was 2 years ago and I have a strong feeling that another lockdown will be happening next month.
There were still people in the supermarket not wearing masks this week. I do hope Tescos etc start to challenge them! Some people  have adopted an ostrich like attitude but they need to see that we still have to be very careful.

Stay safe and well everyone
