More bird watching, this time at Martin Mere Wetland Centre, which was vaguely on the way home. I find it soooo relaxing, as much for the beauty of the landscape as for the birds! We both ended up paying for membership in the end, most likely worth it as entry is around £12 each time. Steve offered to pay for mine as he felt he might have railroaded me into it, but I wouldn't let him and, if you know our history, you'll understand why! 

The M6 behaved itself and Steve dropped me at home at about 4.45pm. Heating on, Tesco, catch up with the news, cooking, gardener's world.
