Christmas at Campbell's.

Dull and overcast yet again. I wonder when I'll see the sun again. Wasn't inspired to do today's chores and lazed around reading instead.  The feeder was very busy so took photos for a while then phoned Margaret.  She has cancelled her trip to Spain in January. A sensible move I think.  They are not refunding the money but she can use it for another holiday with them in the future so she hasn't lost anything.  Neither of us has heard from Linda and think she may still be in London with her sons.  We're not planning to meet up until we see how things are going and are well stocked with food and drink and goodies plus lots of books.
By the time I went to the village to photograph it was raining so very little walking took place.  Just for once there were no cars parked in front of Campbell's so I was able to get a clear view of their windows.  I like the simplicity of their decorations. Went into the village shop to buy crackers and succumbed to more crisps and wine.  I meant to be very well behaved until Christmas Eve but I've surrendered
Came home to find a plastic carrier bag on my door handle.  Inside were photos and drawings and presents from Courtney.  Unexpected and very sweet.  I think Christmas has really begun.
