Tubby

A pretty relaxing day. A modicum of exercise on the spinning bike. A wander down the Water of Leith for a blip (as it was not raining, huzzah!) (and that includes an extra of some inaccessible streetart in a place where I’ve only previously seen meles and her Water of Leith Crew). A bit of messing around in the kitchen with Mr A who cooked a ham and also made bread for the first time in ages. And a lot of time spent reading my current book Free.

I’m tangentially connected to the book, which is a memoir of growing up in Albania before and after transition, in a couple of ways. The author is a good friend of good friends of mine. And Albania fell more or less within the purview of my big project on citizenship in South East Europe, although it was mainly focused on the former Yugoslavia. I visited Tirana in 2010 or 2011… a pretty bonkers place to be honest, where no one observed the red lights and crossing the road was a pretty hazardous experience. But fun none the less.
