Midnight Communion ( at a distance )

It was strange last year not to be able to drive to Dunoon late on Christmas Eve for the  Midnight Communion, as we have done for a long time  and through lots of different weather and even a collision with a deer six years ago , as I blipped them.

This year it would have been possible to go, but given the state of the pandemic , not advisable.

So instead  I watched on line, as we did last year too. Then it was our former Dunoon & Rothesay Rector Andrew Swift, now Bishop of Brechin.   This year it was the Primus of the Scottish Episcopal Church, Mark Strange, who is Bishop of Moray.

His service was intimate and thoughtful and gave a chance for quiet reflection in these oddest of times.

Merry Christmas to all those who drop by this journal from time to time.
