Post Christmas 2021

Today has slid past without anything to show for it. There is this slothful hiatus between Christmas and New Year when most people, and I definitely include myself, try to recover their composure after the Christmas festivities and try to gird their loins before facing the Hogmanay celebrations.

There is of course this year another late cancellation of the frenetic mayhem we come to expect in Edinburgh where the whole city centre is held hostage to a money orientated bonanza of celebrations to welcome in the New Year. It seems that many of the tourist punters have already arrived and are having to wander the streets and visit cafés and restaurants where the new Covid restrictions are now in force.

Fortunately the weather today has been good. My blip today is of first light over Quartermile.
