The Face Off ...

... Cardinal against Downy.

As I was watching and photographing this lovely female Northern Cardinal (on left) I was surprised when the female Downy woodpecker came face to face with each other!  And equally surprising they tolerated each other rather well with only a few ruffled feathers!

In lieu of a walk today we went to Walmart to look at their diabetes supplies.  I'm still feeling overwhelmed with everything and am trying to find the right lancing device and glucose meters that will work best for me.  My health insurance will only cover certain glucose test strips and lancets so I was looking for the meter and lancing device for that particular brand.  We will see how this works for me.
