Raging weir

There's a lot of water in the river at the moment and this weir syphons off water into a channel away into another part of the river that's calmer. It's noisy, roiling, thundering experience to stand on the bridge a few feet above. Just as exciting I unexpectedly found a fairy ring! It was too big to capture on my phone, and the sheep had trampled most of the fungi but it was a definite circle. On such a strangely warm January day it seemed very apt.

On this day in 2021 I started using Blipfoto and it's been really interesting, eye-opening, fun and challenging (in a good way, of course). I missed quite a lot of posting days last year due to illness and depression but now I'm back in the groove so I hope to keep up. I love being outside when the blip of the day shouts out "Hey look at me!" It's endlessly fascinating, makes me look around even more than I do already, and maybe best of all, learning from other people.

Thanks for all your recent kind comments, stars and hearts, it's very much appreciated. Take care folks! It's about time that masks were required throughout secondary schools and more than overdue to provide air purifiers in every classroom. This is not difficult to do, just that the government will ain't there.

Just recording 16C in early January for posterity - great to be outside in the mild air and sun, but oh so wrong as well.
