A Day In The Life

Seeing Double

We spent some time at The Boat Landing today but the icy conditions kept our wandering to a minimum. Geese, gulls and female mergansers enjoyed the open water, and before we left a group of mallards splashed in. The sun was bright but a cool wind persisted. Snow is on the way tonight through tomorrow • The fruit and veggie spread has been laid out for the dear deer, plus a snack for Foxy Frida. The snow is expected around midnight so there’s plenty of time to feast before seeking shelter • Unfortunately January 6 will be forever seared into our memories like so many other historical life-altering events. I’ve held my breath for most of the day, as I still do on September 11. I’m forever grateful to the Capitol Police for fighting and saving our Democracy that day • Stay safe and Be well!
