Salisbury in the rain

The day started bright and frosty, but was already becoming overcast as we drove to our friends in Salisbury, mid morning.  Our friends from Basingstoke were also there. During lunch the rain set in and prevented us from going out for a walk so we spent the afternoon indoors chatting about our uni days, our plans for 2022, and generally putting the world to rights, while P and M plied  us with more tea and food. When we came home in the early evening  it was still pouring with rain. Martin and I felt absolutely exhausted - from doing nothing all day, except talk and eat ! How does that  happen?  Having been thwarted from blipping  a view of Salisbury, my blip is of my Hippeastrum (Amaryllis)which I saved from last year and which has produced  a flower bud again.
