Dame Mary Quant 1930-
British fashion designer.
Often credited with the invention of the mini skirt and hot pants.
For those of us who were lucky enough to be teenagers in the 1960s her designs were revolutionary - we no longer had to dress like our mothers.
I remember her being interviewed in that decade and asked what fashion in the future would look like. She predicted unisex clothing and said we would wear tracksuits everyday and not just for sport, l remember thinking that would never happen, how wrong l was : as l am sat here in sweatpants, trainers and a T shirt.

I have a set of four mugs, Frida Khalo is currently in the dishwasher.
