Our neighbor gave us this lovely ... and HUGE ... birdfeeder for Christmas!  I asked Richard to set it up in the backyard in this location.  The birds seem to like it ... although we think they prefer the platform feeder as this one is more difficult to get to the seed. 

I wouldn't ordinarily post a photo such as this but I thought it was funny when I saw this male Northern Cardinal sitting on himself! I was on the other side of the yard and the lighting was simply awful!  :-)
