A Day In The Life

This & That

A mostly cloudy day with a few light flurries around, what we would call a spitting snow. The feeders were busy with titmice, finches and chickadees, with a few gray squirrels too. No sighting of Lil Red yet • Only went out to go to the Post Office and fill feeders, otherwise we’ve both been busy doing little things around the house. I needed to organize my bird seed supply, order cat food online (slim pickings still), fold laundry, and bake some banana-blueberry muffins. MrsP paid bills and is readying paperwork for income taxes. She’s the House Accountant. Yep, she enjoys dishwashing and doing paperwork. I’m one lucky girl :) • Due to the cold I’ve been feeding the deer nightly. Some of you may remember from last year that we had a young lone deer who grew comfortable enough to visit our patio next to the house to eat seeds and nuts. We named him Blipzen. Eventually he began traveling with a group of deer and we never saw him again…until recently, maybe, we’re hoping. He’s all grown up, of course, but we’re seeing one set of deer tracks on our patio, whereas the others remain by Newt’s step near the cherry tree, away from the house • Could it be?
