Desperately seeking

Goosander

Monday's student was back for Day 2 of her photo course. Today we went out to get nice shots for panoramas and HDR processing. Whilst some cameras and phones will do these actions automatically, we like people to understand the mechanics of what is happening.

We were very pleased with the way LR stitched the panorama. Our student already had Affinity installed so we then took her through some of the basics on that piece of software as she hadn't yet become familiar with it.

While we were out in the lovely sunshine (and icy wind) I was lucky enough to spot the female goosander (mergus merganser) and get some shots as I had my 100 - 400mm lens already on the camera.

In the evening we went down to church to welcome a new minister and his family into our parish.
