Cormorant up a tree

I've have spent most of the day outdoors. I gardened from mid-morning to mid-afternoon. Then Mr hazelh and I took a walk down the Water of Leith and home again, with a break at Williams and Johnson for tea/coffee and a florentine/cookie.

We were rather surprised to see a cormorant up a tree so far up river, but he seemed very content on his perch, enjoying the attention of photographers.

In my extra is the sum total of my carrot harvest. I don't think that I will bother with carrot seeds again. Our soil is not sandy enough for this crop.

Exercise today: gardening and walking (14,451 steps).
