Tea at the Scottish National Portrait Gallery

Although our Lorna Lloyd podcast production project doesn't officially start until 2nd February, all members of the team have been busy on various planning tasks since the funding announcement last November. I have worked on two of mine today: (1) identifying Lorna's 'best' poems, and (2) confirming an additional male voice for recording contemporaneous print news coverage of the events that Lorna chronicles in her dairy. The latter was achieved with the help of tea and cakes in the café of the Scottish National Portrait Gallery this afternoon, where I blipped the famous frieze.

I also had a long conversation this morning with the daughter of one of Lorna's cousins. Although she does not remember Lorna herself, she has strong memories of Lorna's father Albert (Uncle Bertie to her). These confirm the impression of the strict military man that we drew over the course of blipping at http://blipfoto.com/LornaL.

I also managed a few hours in the garden again today. I weeded the block garden and the rock garden, tidied the path, and cleaned the garden furniture.

Mr hazelh and I started watching Don't look up last night. We will finish it tonight.

Exercise today: gardening and walking (~10,000 steps).
