Nilad/Scyphiphora

Strava Day 242/ #75HardPhase2 Day 30.
Reading, progress photo, first workout and two liters done. Currently considering whether just to have B lift the barbell rack outdoors and do strength training in the backyard or go to Fitness Lab (the local gym nearest) so as not to waste the already paid for fees.

Grateful for longer sleep, alone time, a calm and quiet morning and temporary privileges.

Featured photo is a self portrait I took for the 5:55 photo series using mobile. Until now, am the instinctive photographer and have not mastered the technical side of things. B, meanwhile has surpassed my understanding of the camera.

Nilad, which belongs to Kingdom Plantae, the title I used is a shrub with white flowers and glossy rounded leaves that used to be abundant in the mangroves along Pasig River. Did not know that until today. Noticed it from the New Generation 20 peso coin which was released late last year by the Bangko Sentral. Am digressing but also did not know that our 20 peso coin (currently the largest denomination coin here) has emerged as a finalist for the "Best New Coin or Series Category: Excellence in Currency 2022 Awards."
I know am rambling and it is totally unrelated to the photo but Pinoy Pride (Filipino trait) comes naturally. Got up earlier today and am relaxed so had time to have fun with "art."  Googled Nilad in the first place because T often asks whether a certain plant is a shrub, a vine or a tree. He does not even know what Kawayan (local term for Bamboo) is which is really funny as we have one in our backyard.

Last night T talked about the Asian Weaver Ants again and building his own Ant Colony. He is currently a big fan of Ants Canada, Be Amazed and Yong Yong Tales.
During dinner, he suddenly remembered that he wrote "net" on his Christmas wish list a couple of years ago before the virus hit and that Teacher Ladine laughed when she read it. He asked me, what is the weirdest gift I wished for/asked for and did not have a reply ready.

Before this turns into another TLDR (Too Long Did Not Read) entry, here's to you finding strength and motivation to get through another day. Have a good one!
