Junco on Snow

The calm before the storm • I decided we needed to boost our bird food supply so after going to the PO to mail a birthday card, I stopped to pick up another 40# bag of seed and some suet. It seemed all of the customers were either buying bird seed or rock salt in preparation for the coming snowstorm. Of course “the storm” was the topic of idle chatter while we all waited to be checked out • The path of the storm is pretty much known now but the maximum amount of snow for our specific area varies wildly, and continued to increase throughout the day to, take your pick: 12, 18, 24, 32” • MrsP and I are leading the cheers for 12” or less :) • The feeders are full tonight and food is waiting for Frida and the dear deer to arrive. They have all night to feast as the snow doesn’t start here until daylight tomorrow • Thank you, ALL, for showing so much love for Frida yesterday! The hearts, stars, and comments brought pure joy. She is so special to so many and she doesn’t even know it • Until tomorrow…
