#Morphinthenorth

Despite what you may think, this is NOT one of my selfies! ;-))

All of a sudden 20 morphs have appeared in North Tyneside, one of them being on our local shopping centre where I took this shot this morning. They hark back to the children's TV series "Take Hart" which first boradcast in 1977. They're rather fun - but a bit crazy so I'll tag this for Silly Saturday in memory of Admirer! They'll be here until the end of March so we hope to track more of them down over the next few weeks.

Meanwhile Storm Malik has been blowing hard all night and all day - fortunately not as powerfully as in northeast Scotland bit still pretty fierce and there are more trees down here & there. I ventured down to Tynemouth late morning in the hope of seeing waves breaking over the piers - but silly me, that doesn't happen when the wind is off the land, from the west. However the light was lovely so I took several photos and I quite like the first extra, of the South Pier taken from near the North Pier (naturally the pier was closed for safety reasons today): it shows the waves spashing against the pier anyway. The second extra was taken looking across the Tyne just upstream from the piers with the sunlight emphasising the considerable waves on the water.

Don't forget that next Saturday is the monthly hosted Silly Saturday challenge, kindly hosted this time by Pipersmom.
