A Day In The Life

Calm After The Storm

MrsP and I were up early to take a curious first peek out of the upstairs window. How much snow did we get? There’s a calm and silence to the world after a significant snowstorm, made even more so because it’s Sunday, a day when few cars pass by • While coffee brewed we stepped out into a winter wonderland with shovels in-hand ready to begin the “big dig”. When I made it beyond the house I looked towards the cherry tree and discovered Newt’s step had disappeared, swallowed by snow. The fresh snow also revealed the lone trail of a visiting deer looking for food after the storm passed. I’d like to think it was Blipzen • We’ve since finished our first round of clearing out the 18” of snow, and hope to finish it up tomorrow. The table can now be set for the dear deer tonight, along with nuts and peanut butter sandwiches put out for Foxy Frida (thanks for the tip, hillyblips) • Football and Veggie Chili are on the agenda for tonight • Peace & Love from Maine!
