Silver birch trees

It was another beautiful sunny day, bright with blue skies - but with a very cold wind. On my walk with Xena this morning in the woods I loved the colours of the birch trees, their silvery bark contrasts with the almost purple colour tones in their fine branches,  so I decided to do an ICM of them to show off the colours.

After lunch some friends popped over to say goodbye as they are moving to Hampshire as their chosen place to retire, they have been wanting to leave Surrey for a few years now but struggled to sell their home during the early stages of the pandemic, and then suddenly the property market turned and they sold it easily. They will be living on the edge of the New Forest and it is not too far for me to visit them one day when they are settled.

Xena was so well behaved during their visit, they are not really doggie people but said they could have a dog like her!

Tonight is another zoom camera club meeting, it is a members' evening where various people will be doing short presentations so it will be nice and relaxed.
