Union Street and The Citadel

A view along Union Street with the Citadel at the end of the street. The Citadel is is the Salvation Army headquarters on the Castlegate square.

A funny sort of afternoon, brilliant sunshine where I am standing, but clouds looming ahead. I fact it rained a little later even though not very heavily. We did have quite heavy snow in the morning, so not too warm despite the sunshine.

Looks like the man in the foreground is jaywalking. Well I have the evidence here. Once upon a time in The Hague I got told off by a policeman for jaywalking, he was quite threatening, maybe severe is a better word. I was more careful about jaywalking in The Hague after that, at least to make sure I was not alone, or if I was, to make sure there were no policemen around.
