Amaryllis bud.

I must point out this is purely intended as a record shot for me, I have made no attempt to make it photographically interesting.

As anyone who has read my journal for more than a year will know this Amaryllis is fairly ancient.  It was a mature plant when my Dad died and my Mum came to live with us.  That was just before Kat was born so the bulb is probably somewhere in the region of 40 or 45 years old.

Every year I keep intending to record the progress of the flower, perhaps I will succeed this year.
