Loch Melfort in the rain

We count ourselves lucky that there are any views at all from our hotel bedroom window today. The rain has been almost constant. That said, the changing cloud cover and occasional glimpses of sunlight make for an atmospheric blip.

We ventured out in the middle of the day in search of lunch. We acquired this in Lochgilphead (with eyes peeled in case snapper was out and about). Had the weather been better, we might have eaten our picnic outdoors. Instead we sat in the car opposite some picnic benches, a few trees, a stream, and... an otter in the water!  We often tell other tourists that you see more otters from a bike than a car, but today the car was the best vantage point.

We were sad to hear from Bella today that Polly has died.

Next on the agenda is another game of Scrabble, then dinner.

Exercise today: none.
