Afternoon tea treat

Took Phin to daycare this morning where he’s going to stay for the next two weeks. He was very good about going in and only made 1 bid for escape! After the gate was shut he trotted off quite happily to the house.

Quiet morning before getting ready to head up the M9 to Cromlix - the country house hotel owned by Sir Andy Murray - to have afternoon tea with our son and his girlfriend to celebrate her birthday a day early. Miss PHL came to us and we travelled up together.

The setting was lovely, some great views from the dining room, the staff were friendly, lots of mask wearing and hand sanitising and the food was delicious. See extra for a quick blip of the food and the birthday girl. Miss PHL enjoyed her GF offerings but said the sweet items were a little tasteless.

We sat for around 3 hours and didn’t feel under any pressure to leave. The only slightly odd thing was that all guests - 5 tables in all - were located in the same area when they could have spread us out a little more.

Home to enjoy some peace and quiet!

Checked our paperwork for Saturday and realised that our cabin number has changed and from a quick look at the deck plans, we appear to have been upgraded. We’ve never been lucky before so not holding my breath but will see what happens on Sunday.

Blip of my wee lemon tart that was one of several cakes brought home. Thanks to cathy1947 for hosting.
