Snowline

Dropped the kids up the hill to school and kindy this morning and was presented with this view. Pretty inspiring in my books, and a core reason I'd like to live higher up ...

Regardless, it's a hell of a way to start the day, especially when you have to meet staff later that morning and say that we're finally at the point where we have to consider laying people off. We haven't, yet, but it's going to be a close thing depending on what markets (and more importantly tourists) decide to do in the next few weeks and months. Our preference, of course, is to keep the team together as we've spent years building the skills and camaraderie, and they are a great and dedicated bunch. I am quietly confident we will, but we have to be realistic also ...

Anyway, the remainder of the day focussed on sales and keeping clients happy. Pretty important stuff in these times.
