A POSITIVE SILLY SATURDAY - BUT NOT IN A GOOD WAY!

Hello Lovely Blippers,

You are not going to believe this, but two of the Silly Saturday Gang have tested positive for that dreaded virus!  I’m sure you can guess which two by looking at this collage - yes, it’s Penny Penguin and Leyburn.

Last night, Mr. and Mrs. HCB went to see their grandson, Harry, as it’s his birthday today - they were all very good, stood outside and even wore masks, while they chatted.  If you have been following Mrs. HCB this week, you will know she made some rock buns, and Harry was delighted with them, because he used to make them with Mrs. HCB when he came to stay.  They had a lovely time together and we all hope that Harry has a great birthday today.

You can imagine our horror this morning when we decided to do Lateral Flow Tests, and found that two of us tested positive - no prizes for guessing which two - you can see Penny and Leyburn self-isolating at the bottom right of this collage.

Of course, the rest of us are keeping well away, but something that always goes down well when you are feeling under the weather is CHOCOLATE!  You might think that’s silly, and this is Silly Saturday, after all, but when you are feeling a bit sad or upset, as we all are, then chocolate hits the spot!  We decided that Penny and Leyburn deserved two each and to be fair, they say they don’t feel ill, just a bit fed up that they will have to spend 5 days on their own - but I’m sure they will find plenty to do - there are lots of books, games and jigsaws around in this house and they can even go out into the garden, as long as they make sure we are all inside or keep their distance..

One other thing and you should all be aware of this - Mrs. HCB had a text just before 10 o’clock last night that said : “NHS - You’ve been near someone with the Omicron Variant.  Apply for a Test Kit today: “ and it gave a website where supposedly you could get an urgent test kit.  Because Mrs. HCB is a very sensible lady, she didn’t click on the link - but looked up the telephone number on the internet and she was right - IT WAS A SCAM!  So please be warned, lovely Blippers, that there are people out there who are not very nice and want to scam you.

We don’t think the chocolates will last that long, because as you all know, Mrs. HCB is a chocoholic, so we can either hide them or eat them before she sees them - which you may think is silly - and we think that Admirer would laugh at that - but we are serious.  Mrs. HCB used to steal her sons’ chocolates and write notes that said “The Phantom Chocolate Pincher strikes again!”  She used to say she was only borrowing it, but we know her so if you meet her, keep your chocolate locked away!

Anyway, please be careful, dear Blippers, and take care of yourselves and one another - this virus hasn’t gone away, and we all still need to be careful.

Love to you all from

The Silly Saturday Gang minus Two!

P.S.  You will be pleased to know that both Mr. and Mrs. HCB tested negative, so no chocolates for them!!  As you can imagine, Mrs. HCB is gutted so we might give her just one!
