Water feature

Last night was the third Thursday in a row that I’ve been out socialising. This is an enormous shift from the past two years.  I met a couple of colleagues, Mark and Mark, and we started in a pub opposite the office but swiftly moved up the road to a much quieter place.  This one is usually quiet and dubbed The Old Man’s pub. But it was another late night which resulted in an Uber home in the early hours.

I started today with a meting that somebody had put in the diary with the addition of “get the coffee ready” because she knew who I’d been out with.  But it’s not coffee I am craving today ... I am again feeling the need for water.

In other water related news, this is about the third week that we have had somebody to repair the dishwasher.  In the first round of visits the engineer concluded that water had leaked down the back of the kitchen units and damaged something that was unrepairable and so the manufacturer’s warranty did not cover it.  I then contacted the insurance company who sent an engineer - and it turned out to be the same person - to see if it was covered under the accidental damage cover and it seems like it was because,  an hour or so after he left, I had an email from the insurance company telling me it was unrepairable and staring the replacement process.
