Waterfront dining

Wednesday
It was quite hot and sunny today, so we had a beach day, this time at Clam Pass Beach Park, more central to Naples. As yesterday, the access to the beach was via a 3/4 mile boardwalk through the mangroves, and this time, we walked it, rather than taking the tram. It was an informative walk, as they had periodic panels, talking about the vegetation and birds you might see. The beach was soft white sand, and whilst it was quite crowded near the boardwalk, it thinned out a bit if you walked further along. Since we were there over midday, we covered ourselves with sunscreen and wore our hats. By 3pm, we decided we’d had enough sun, and we went up to the very nice beach cafe at the top of the ramp from the beach, and enjoyed a drink just looking over the beach. We then came back to shower and change and went out for an early dinner by the waterfront, in an area known as Tin City. I was enjoying watching the boats and the brown pelicans, whereas Roger was busy watching the “mechanical birds”, flying into Naples airport which accepts business jets and the like, and is quite a busy airport.
