A time for everything

More of the white stuff!

Tuesday
With snow still coming down, and an outside temperature of 17F, we weren’t in a hurry to get up this morning! Laura called us late morning - she’d had a bad morning and wanted to get it off her chest! The snow finally wrapped up around noon, and we got out to clear the driveway - there was about another 5 inches - with more promised for Thursday! I should add that I was shoveling as well, not just taking photos! You may notice a Montgomery fire truck at the right hand side of the picture - fortunately it wasn’t an emergency of any sort, they were just going along the street checking the fire hydrants weren’t snowed or iced up.
In the afternoon I got some knitting done - I finished my scarf yesterday, and have started another prayer shawl. This evening we had pancakes to mark Shrove Tuesday. We had an email from our church music director this afternoon, informing us there will be a meeting of the administrative committee next Monday, to discuss returning to in person services again, since the Covid numbers and hospitalizations have been falling quite dramatically in recent weeks. Obviously precautions and distancing will still be observed, but the hope is to return on March 7th - that will be a year since we had services in church, with the exception of a couple of weeks in late summer, before numbers started climbing. We didn’t get to attend them as we were visiting our daughter at the time. Also, given the average age of our congregation, the majority should have been vaccinated by then. This will all be assuming the numbers continue to drop. It would be so good to be able to be back in church by Easter!
