On Yer Bike

We’ve had a busy day today, I tidied the garage and did a tip run, and Alan carried on with the new bed. Unfortunately he couldn’t fit the headboard to the wall as it’s very heavy and needs strong fixings, so as it was a lovely day he suggested we get the bikes out, cycle along the seafront and up to the hardware shop.

It’s the first time we’ve been on the bikes this year and despite the sun, the wind was very cold, but we enjoyed it. We cut up this little lane leading from the beach back into town which was very pretty with a little stream - we’ve not been up here before. Unfortunately the hardware shop didn’t have the correct fixings so he’ll have to nip to B&Q one night.

Anyway we rode back to the seafront and rode all the way to Penryhn Bay where we turned round. We stopped at Forte’s in Rhos on Sea for a coffee and a hot chocolate, and then headed home - we cycled 10.5 miles in total!

Once home, he built the drawers for the bed and I mowed the lawn and cooked a roast dinner. It was nice to sit down tonight!

Oh and after our search for the Aurora last night, I saw a couple of photos on Facebook of it in Llandudno! I chatted with one of the guys who’d took some images and he said it wasn’t visible to the naked eye, just through the camera. He’d sat for 6 hours and there were two 10 minute shows!
