Gardskagi Lighthouse

In this little promontary north of Gardur there are two lighthouses, this gorgeous red and white striped one dates from 1897 and stands right at the coast edge. The other one is more plain to my view and stands inland a short way. There's also a pretty little church with a green roof which I've added as an extra. The second extra are some eider ducks resting on a rocky outcrop and getting no peace from the waves.

It's our last day here and we have a very early flight. That's good as it enables us to get back home on the coach the same day. We'll arrive in Exeter at about 7 pm, I think. We're staying in a hotel in Reykjanesbaer, close to the airport with a 5.30 shuttle bus booked.
