A Day In The Life

Not White

We’re thankful to be receiving rain today, and not the snow that’s falling west of here. There could be a few inches tonight when temperatures drop but still better than most • Other than ground feeding goldfinches and mourning doves, the feeders have been mostly quiet today. I was beginning to worry about my blip until this soaking wet squirrel took refuge in the lilacs to nibble on a seed block. With each drip and drop he looked more and more the part of a “drowned rat” • And speaking of a rat, we caught a mouse this morning :( • World Central Kitchen is doing amazing work providing food to refugees as they cross the border into other countries, along with preparing and delivering meals to many cities inside of Ukraine • A faux chicken and rice soup is on the menu. I’ll throw some veggies in there too, just unsure what’s hanging around in the refrigerator • Hope your Saturday is a peaceful one…
