Trinity Chapel, Cambridge

When we woke up this morning it was raining, but it soon cleared and after breakfast we had sunshine. We checked out the hotel and went walking about the town - it was relatively early so the town was still quiet and it was lovely to walk around and take photos with not that many people about. We even did a bit of shopping!

This is the chapel of Trinity College, you can even see Sir Isaac Newton's apple tree.

We then met up with Tommy, Inca and Adam for a late brunch/early lunch at a fantastic café called Espresso Library, the food and the coffee were excellent. Cambridge has a good choice of cafes serving excellent coffee.

I have added some more photos of Cambridge here if you are interested.

We really enjoyed our stay in Cambridge, it is one of our favourite places to visit. Although the university terms ends on Thursday, Tommy is not coming home but going on college rugby tour (organised by him as he is the social secretary for the club) to Bulgaria - yes, that country well known for rugby - ... I mean beer! This is a social weekend with no rugby being played, as is the norm for these type of college tours. He won't be coming home for the holidays, except for Easter, as he has decided to stay and study at his college as he writes his final 3rd year exams in April and not in the summer - he has an engineering project in the summer term instead.

Soon after we got home Fiona arrived with Xena, and she was very happy to see us but had a great time with Fiona and Fiona's Vizsla who Xena adores.

Tomorrow morning I have a very early start as I have to get to my hospital appointment in London at the Dermatology Institute for my allergy patch testing, this being the first of three appointments this week. This is to try and find the cause of my sudden and quite serious eczema that has developed.
