Lunar Halo

A halo around the moon is caused by thin, wispy, cirrus and cirrostratus clouds and the refraction and reflection of moonlight by their ice crystals. Hopefully means more rain on the way, had none today.

A full day. Croissants and grapefruit (of course), walked to church, quick tintinho at the Adega, where we were invited by Sr Manuel Ralo to his house, which is more like a museum to bullfighting - even his bedroom is covered (see extra). And then on to a wonderful lunch at Cecílio and Ermelinda's.

After which we were pretty full, but Guillaume wanted to go to Sem Fim with us, now that Kasia is back, so off we went, Paul driving. Good time with them and Gil, and Paul then got us safely home.

Lent verses are Luke 9v28-36, where Jesus was transfigured in front of three of his disciples, which ends with a voice out of the cloud:
This is my Son, the Chosen! Listen to him.
It's not easy to listen to someone; you need to really be still inside and open yourself to them.

Gratefuls:
- how well Paul relates to folk here
- beautiful, fresh day, all the wildflowers coming out
- Sr Manuel inviting us into his home
