A glorious morning

There wasn’t a cloud in the sky when I took my blip photo at 10:18am this morning. It was one of those wonderful late summer/early autumn mornings, very still, warm and a calm sea.  Gorgeous.

I had the usual Monday morning work to do and hubby busied himself taking photos, writing descriptions and putting items of Mum’s furniture onto TradeMe - NZ’s equivalent of PayPal. She won’t get much for it, but it saves us having to find a home for it.

I popped over to see her late afternoon and there she was visiting her next door neighbour.  She’d been up to the main lounge area for morning tea and seen people she knew there, had enjoyed her lunch (main meal of the day) and seemed generally happy. Result!

We didn’t go out for a walk until 6:45pm, but we needed to stretch our legs and get some fresh air.  We passed by a garden where there are always flowers blooming, much to hubby’s envy, and that’s where I took the photo of the Hibiscus flower in the extra.  It’s such a beautiful colour.

Today there are 15,540 new community cases, and 952 people in hospital, of whom 19 are in ICU. Sadly, another two people have died.
