MrsP and I agree that if we could pick just one trait from any animal to have as our own, we would both want the ability to fly like a bird. This discussion resulted after watching this Immature Eagle soar, glide and dance his way up the river. He was so graceful and beautiful to watch, it was mesmerizing. There seemed to be no purpose other than pure enjoyment, playing in the air across the sky because he could • Identifying eagles has been a learning curve because over five years they experience four phases of growth, with each phase varying in appearance. Up to 1 1/2 years they’re Juveniles, then up to 3 1/2 years they’re Immature Adults, between 3 1/2 and 5 they’re Sub-Adults, and finally they reach Maturity at 5 - 5 1/2 years. It’s confusing! • More snow on the way tonight but warm temperatures at the end of the week will melt it away.
