Totes

Sunny days really do make that blipper life so much easier.

You can actually get out and about and find something borderline interesting to capture rather than aspects of your recently converted loft (picked out some colours today), which may be an endless source of fascination to yourself, but of little to no interest to anyone else.

Today, we had a number of jobs to get done and by jove, we got out there and done them, and done them good.

Birthday and Mother’s Day cards were found (and rejected and argued over), presents were bought and The Youngest walked through town proudly carrying them in my recently purchased “Good Things Come To Those Who Bake” tote bag (see extra) – yeah, I have a tote bag. Why? Because it’s 2022, old timer and blokes can totally tote a tote too.

With jobs done we ate our lunch on a picnic blanket sat outside the front of the house and soaking up the sun, before we decided that a walk downstream was in order and that was the best part of my day. The wee ones disappeared off into their own joint little fantasy world which seemed to be centred around the stretch of riverbank pictured, which is their lab. As far as I could tell, rocks and pebbles were bashed about and chipped down before being lobbed into the river for droppage and splash analysis. I am not sure what purpose this serves, but a great deal of endeavour is sat behind it.

Congratulations to Italy on a fantastic last-gasp win against Wales and to the scintillating French team who gave England something to work towards.

We finished our day with a chippy tea and some Mario Party minigames with The Eldest.

Felt like a good dad today.
