Down that A1 and over the border. First stop Harrogate, just to break the journey. And what a lovely place it is. We visit the art gallery of course, then stroll around the bijou shops (I almost get a haircut - in fact, I go as far as sitting in the chair with the apron on) before alighting on the Little Ale House. And after that, the Cold Bath Brewing Company.
And after that, some news. We’re down here to see the SK’s daughter but the centrepiece of the weekend is the SK’s daughter’s boyfriend’s dad’s sixtieth. Sixty people invited, coming from as far afield as… Bulgaria. He’s got covid! It’s off!
