The Passionate Father

This is the end point of the Lula walk - down an old road that now ends in the Lake. Both cats accompanied us (see Aduro?), as they usually do, but a car scared Feathers, and she's still not come back, several hours later, hope she's OK. Mike and Paul just went looking, but nothing...

Up early to pick up Cecílio and Ermelinda to drive to Vendas Novas for church and lunch with Padre Luís and two other couples. I really do lilke the way he celebrates the Mass.

Lent verses were Luke 15v1-3, 11-32, which is the parable Jesus told, known as The Prodigal Son - which is a misnomer if ever there was one. If you read the first three verses (I've put the link), you'll see it was far more about the older son, maybe The Pissed-Off Son. But really, it's about The Passionate Father, who went after both sons, pleading with them to enjoy his love for them. Read it and see if you don't agree...

Gratefuls:
- having my son here with us, and chatting to both daughters and sons-in-law (though it's not Mother's Day here)
- being with friends I love
- a comfy bed waiting for me
