Well, At Least This Is A Success

I think it is a success anyway.
After having seen pictures of a Pieris on two Blippers' Blips yesterday I thought I would have a go (Dark, light and colour - including a big bummed bee - are over HERE).

My time at the lathe was not a great success ......... but I refused to give in and there is a lidded pot to show I was there - but it is not nice and does not deserve to be seen alongside the Pieris.

SWMBO tried speaking to our local councillor today (who happens to be head of the council) about the cash back system on the council tax.
She ended up speaking to his 'assistant' who made the right sort of noises and agreed that how SWMBO is dealing with it is understandable and a sensible way to do it. 
She also had The Advice Shop phone and speak to her about her disability payment. 
That lady (eastern European) was brilliant and went through everything to see if the rate of payment could be increased by moving to a different classification. She phoned back within a few minutes to say it was a real borderline case and confirmed that if an application was put in and rejected then her current payments would be stopped. Absolutely shocking. So she has said to leave things as they stand (too right) and she will make contact in September when there is a new, devolved payment system coming in and we will see if SWMBO's circumstances have changed (for the worse) and if there is anything they can do.

It is crazy that the government has the Advice Shop system to see if they can get you the money you are entitled to while they have other departments created to try and prevent you getting the money.
