loveliest of trees

Of my threescore years and ten, sixty will not come again...so all the more reason to look at things in bloom...

The cherry blossom was out at Dalswinton today, and there were hosts of daffodils beside the lake and beneath the trees. It felt warm too, and when D and I made tea in the woods this afternoon, I noticed that the wind has changed direction; no more icy blasts! Hopefully this nice weather will last for the weekend and the arrival of our guests.
