Capital adventures

Amaryllis

An exceptional day, exceptional in as much as I had no meetings and nowhere to go, apart from the pool that is.  Cycled.  It is really quiet. School holidays.

But I did have visitors - A, the plumber first, to talk about a kitchen sink, kitchen tap and advise on replacing the bath with a shower.  Then the sparkies to finish replacing light switches, check out the security lights and replace a light fitting.  Last, at the end of the afternoon, E came to help put up the bigger, heavier pictures.  A few holes in the wrong place but we managed.

In between I ironed, did some more tidying, touched up paint, cleaned windows, stained a windowsill, put together a solar brick, installed a TRV and scored the applications for Board membership.

It was easy to work my way through the list as outside it was first cloudy and then heavy rain. No gardening today.  And can't forget the phone calls with #1 son about a bank account, the Zoomers messages, clarification from TalkTalk that I am getting a free ugrade to Future Fibre (suddenly all these texts make sense)  and the Downing Street news. It's only Tuesday.
