Opening Day Parade!

Tuesday
In all the years we have lived in Greater Cincinnati, we have never been to the Cincinnati Reds (baseball team) Opening Day parade. Since it hadn’t happened the last two years due to Covid, there was extra buzz about it this year, so we decided to go, and we were glad we did, it was a lot of fun. From fire engines old and new, police and sheriff vehicles and motorbikes, vintage vehicles, various floats and trucks, to dance teams, bagpipes, and numerous marching bands, there was plenty to see - it lasted about an hour and a half. Although the day had started out sunny, by this time (about noon), it had clouded over, but at least it remained dry. After the parade, we went to get some lunch at the Incline House, a bit out of town, which would have been congested, and up on top of a hill, with a grand view. Unfortunately they lost their opening game against the Cleveland Guardians later in the afternoon 5-10!
When we got back, Roger got out to cut the grass again, while I did a few jobs inside. During this time, the sun came out again, so when Roger had finished with the grass, we took the tandem to the bike trail at South Lebanon, and did a 13 mile return bike ride.
