Insulate this

It was my last day of work today before a much needed and slightly elongated break over the coming bank holiday weekend.

Work was incredibly quiet, which meant that I could get up to speed and inbetwixt times, get the company car in for its MOT before getting it back to pack it full of our belongings.

Whilst I was doing that, Phase II of Project House was in full swing with the structure of the new bathroom beginning to emerge. The builder had pulled down some internal tongue and groove cladding which had revealed a devastatingly poorly insulated wall and a main window effectively perched on bricks that weren’t even cemented together!

If Phase II achieves nothing else, at least the building may retain a little more heat than it did previously.

The wee ones arrived just after five, so we were promptly in the car and had a good run down to Essex where we will be joined by The Eldest tomorrow who was already down visiting her “other” grandparents.
