Street Performers

Blip has had to take a back seat and yesterday the camera was not even used.  Yesterday morning was more car looking.  We went to met a nice young man who was selling his car privately.  It was at a very good price but it was grey.  For my last car I want a colour.  We then collected a trailer from a work colleague of the lovely daughter and sent the afternoon clearing some of the shrubs in her garden that have got too tall.  There is more to do there but a start has been made.
This morning we went to see yet another car that was a light green and perfectly fine but not quite the dream.  The dream car had been seen on Thursday.  It's colour is called Light My Fire which is a deep orange/red.  It was the most expensive and to my amazement we are buying the dream.  No picture of it yet as it still is in the car yard until Tuesday having its wheels and tyres changed to what we want.  It had black mags which we both found a bit showy.
After that it was a walk through the city which is looking busy.  We enjoyed Scorpio Books a large and well stocked bookshop.  I bought The Lincoln Highway and the forester bought an Atlas, remember those.  He likes maps and our is so old many countries in Europe and Africa have changed name.  A puzzle was also purchased for Finn's second birthday next month.  Walking back to the car we came across the end of a street performance.

Life Is A Carnival    Mark Levon Helm / Rick Danko / Robbie Robertson

. . . We're all in the same boat ready to float
Off the edge of the world
The flat old world
The street is a sideshow
From the peddler to the corner girl
Life is a carnival
It's in the book
Life is a carnival
Take another look
Hey, buddy, would you like to buy a watch real cheap?
Here on the street
I got six on each arm
And two more 'round my feet
Life is a carnival
Believe it or not
Life is a carnival
Two bits a shot . . .                The Band
