Back to work after a day off, always a trial. Started with a visit to the lovely Dr Coli. Lovely but not cheap.

Managed to get quite a few things finished off at work, like the budget and a 45 minute conference call re funding. There was also very sad news. A colleague who leads one one of our partners died yesterday in WGH. A real blow to the sector in the city. There will be a huge gap and he will be missed.

It's a year today since I lost a best friend, my sons' grandma. Another friend helped out by giving tulips in memory. She'll be here on Thursday. It will be a our very own mini blipmeet!

And RBS called after my 7 page epistle. The person who looked into it said he couldn't think of anything else that could have gone wrong and he was embarrassed and very sorry. But will there be improvements?

Tonight yesterday's rubbish has all gone and I have the ironing and 'Grand Designs'. And my new controller which i can work remotely. How exciting is that?
