a lifetime burning

By Sheol

It has been another windy day here, and with the wind coming from the East it feels much colder.  Not a great day for taking wildlife photos, but after yesterday's selfie I thought I would at least try to find a decent close up insect in one of the more sheltered corners of the garden.  This female Eupeodes hoverfly (or Field Syrph) did at least reward me by sitting still for long enough for me to grab this shot.
