Wild Wednesday ...

... surprise visitor.

It seems like it's been forever since we have seen any cottontails in our yard.  So I was pleasantly surprised to see this one in the front yard.  And as you can see we've had lots of other visitors as well.  A Wild Wednesday collage was a must today.  Thanks to Cailleach for keeping Wednesday's wild for the past 316 weeks!

I had a follow up appointment with the endocrinologist this morning ... moved up a week from when it was originally made for next Wednesday.  The appointment went well and he said my glucose levels look good.  I'm to stay the course as prescribed ... which is two insulin injections per day.  He's ordered a full blood panel ... which I had done on the way out of the facility.  I'll know the results later.  

The appointment was early and we were home by 9:00 am.  We went out again after supper but were home for most of the day.  I spent time on the deck as the weather was quite lovely.  There was lots of activity around me so getting lots of pictures was easy.  The hard part was choosing my favorites among them.  

Besides the eastern cottontail rabbit (bottom left) my collage features a house finch (upper left), a carolina wren singing his heart out (upper right) and an eastern gray squirrel.  All my favorites!
