Post grad graduation day

Early start to head through to Glasgow to meet Miss PHL for her graduation postponed from 2021. She was surprisingly bright for having had a busy Sunday (walking the wee wander (5km) on the Kiltwalk and going to see Dua Lipa in concert) and looked lovely in her new dress.

We found a wee cafe for a bite of lunch before collecting her gown and taking some pictures before we headed to the Royal concert hall for the ceremony. We had excellent seats and it was a very joyous afternoon. As she and her friends were graduating from their post grad course they were at the start of the proceedings. I’d forgotten how many ‘steps’ you rack up when you wear your tracking device on your arm with all the clapping!!

Ceremony over it was back to the uni (conveniently located a short walk away) for more pictures and to return the robes.

We collected the car - city centre parking is not cheap - and headed to Ashton lane for a couple of drinks before our dinner booking. I’d booked a wee restaurant in Kelvinside which does a 10 course tasting menu on a Monday for the very reasonable cost of £35 a head. Miss PHL and I opted for the matching wines. Luckily Mr PHL was happy to drive!
It took us 3 hours to get through 10 delicious courses so we weren’t heading home till after 11. Roadworks in Glasgow sent us in a different route home so it was well after midnight before we dropped Miss PHL at her flat and we’ll after 1 before we got to bed.

But a fabulous day.
